Saber Grind or Full Flat Grind for SFNO

A full flat grind from the same stock should be a little lighter, and the angle should be a little more acute. These are qualities that I particularly appreciate in a blade. I think that the added strength of the sabre grind is unnecessary in a knife of this length, thickness, and material.

Makes sense. In my opinion, if I could only have one knife with me outdoors, I WOULD want it to be a little more chop-built. I don't know that the slicing ability gained in an FF grind over the Sabre is really worth giving up the chopping weight. Guess I'll hafta see, huh?

get rid of that purple cord Stacy and you have yourself a winner:cool::D;)

and it even has mags:)
I started using the lanyard method a while ago: One long piece. Slip it through the hole then both end pieces through a single rubber grommet. Tie a figure 8 knot on each end. While in the sheath, the grommet can be pushed toward the grip with no loop to catch in the bush. Pull the grommet out to the knots and you've got a long enough loop to slip over the thumb, back over the back of the hand, and the knife is now firmly in grasp with no dangly loose wrist lanyard. In the event that the loop did get caught in sheath or during use, the knots will release through the rubber grommet before things get hairy.

Purple? What can I say? I lose too much stuff in the woods. Obnoxious colors are muy bien! :D

Nice...rubber grooments ...where do I get them and I guess rubber bands would work in a pinch short term?
