sable reviews?

I am very interested in the CRK Sable model and would love to see a review of this knife's capability as a general camp/hunting knife. Does the sheath hold the knife securely? How is edge retention? Is the handle comfortable?
I have never even seen a Chris Reeves Knife in person, let alone handled one. I find this blade shape the most appealing, along with the Ubejane, for my needs.

While I have no personal experience with the Sable, I imagine that it would perform very similarly to any of the other One Piece models. Look for reviews of any of the One Piece Line (Aviator, Mountaineer, etc.).

Having said that, the Sable has what I think is the most useful blade shape of all the One Piece Models. A knife stout enough to handle any "survival" or hard use situation, and still be able to effectively and easily process wild game. It's the one I'd choose.

No, great and yes.

The Sable, IMHO, is one of the best general purpose outdoorsman knives available. It's not the best Tactical, Ninja, Rambo beatme-up, shootem-up, blowem-up knives, but I find the knfe very useful for food prep, light chopping and woodwork, field dressing, skinning, and basically all of those things that I really DO with my knife as opposed to those things which people fantasize about doing with their knife.

The Sable is the right size, the right shape and the right construction for what I really do with a knife outdoors. Though the Project 1 is my very favorite "one knife" to have; I would have to say that the Sable is the most used and most useful of my modest collection.
