I'm sorry to hear about your kitty. That is hard because they are a part of the family. They love you unconditionaly. Thanks for sharing the pictures and stories.

I'm very sorry to hear that. I completely understand. My Scottie (Terrier) is my child to me. When I had to have my Westie euthanized it was all I could do to hang on. Even attended a grief recovery program. We will keep you in prayer.

Thank you all for your kind & encouraging words. You guys are the best:thumbup:
My big Tomcat's been looking all over the place for her.I can hear him howling(yes a cat howling!) up & down the hallway all night.Poor guy's lost/heartbroken.:(She wouldn't give him the time of day most of the time, just seemed like she didn't like him,but he adored her.
They grew up together since they were kittens. We used to love watching them stalking eachother, play fighting,wrestling...etc.
One part that really sticks in my head was on the eve of Thanksgiving of 2000.Everyone was asleep, when we heard a loud THUD.I got up & found them two going to town on that raw turkey. They slit open the packaging with their claws & were just trying to eat as much as they could, before they got caught.I was laughing as I grabbed one in each hand & said "so you couldn't wait til tomorrow huh?"I'll never forget that.

Here's a couple of pics of my big Tomcat. His name's Cal.The first year of his life was spent with a couple of dogs,so he acts like a dog a lot. He's got quite a personality!

Just like him we're all mourning over our loss.I figure I'll wait 2-3 months & find him another playmate.

Thanks again...everyone for all your kind words & thoughts:)

Happy Thanksgiving,
John

John...Why wait 2-3 months to get another playmate for Cal? He is lonely NOW. Also, being able to turn your attention onto another kitty might be good therapy for you and lessen the loss that you feel.

I understand what you're saying glockman & it makes a lot of sense.I'll more than likely get another cat in about a month or so.I just don't want to get another too soon, because I don't think it would be right to put another in her place right away.

Thanks,
John
