Today about 4:30 I laid KathyJo to rest..One of the hardest things I have ever done in my 68 years..43 years married and for much of the last 25 we spent 23 hours a day with each other. She would send me on errands lolol..Since 1992 I was lucky enough to share her music career. Country Gospel to 1998 Jazz and Blues to 2002 and Classic Rock and Blues till 8 months ago. KathyJo and the Bluzification Band from 2002 to around 2014 she was at her very peak and in Central/Northern Florida we opened or headlined 100's of major Festivals and Shows including a 6 year run Spring and Fall at Thunder Beach Rally in Panama City. KathyJo was absolutely known for her Janis Joplin covers and even Stephen Tyler of Aerosmith was a big fan and gave her a quote for her Website. Much of our lives was spent making music and I was her Harp player. We loved each other deeply for 43 years and some of yall know what that means. I really appreciate your prayers. CJ and Joe both sent flowers but me and the family need your prayers to get through this especially my granddaughter Brittany who gave Kathy CPR for 22 minutes to keep her alive till the ambulance got to our home. Only because Kathy was a Christian (and me too) have I any hope at all..God is helping me and the family but I have a hole in my very heart and soul this evening. God is giving me mercy tonight and I think I can get to sleep this evening...Thank you again for your prayers.

Clint, thank you for sharing a snap shot of your life with KathyJo. You're extremely blessed to have been married for 43 years to such a wonderful and talented lady. And KathyJo was very lucky to have such a loving and supportive husband. Needless to say, your granddaughter, Brittany, is awesome.
