Sad day

Bill, I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm also sure your Father is looking at you and wanting you to heal. You may be surprised how much you will talk with him. God bless.
 
So sorry for your loss my own father passed away from a heart attack new years eve morning 2010. I too didn't have the best relationship with my father all my life but near the end it was getting better. Remember what good you can and keep on living. Its tough but survivable, God Bless.
 
Sorry to hear of your loss... Sounds eerily familiar to my dad's passing. His turned out to be a stroke may God keep him n bless you
 
Fathers are so very special, and when they pass, it's one of the saddest days imaginable. I miss my Dad every day. It won't get better anytime soon, but it will get better. It will. My condolences for your loss.
 
Thanks everyone-

I attended the funeral yesterday with a reception afterward. That was pretty tough considering the circumstances.
My employer was gracious enough to give me the whole week off. Not sure that has done me any good except taking care of projects that needed attention. It helps keep my mind active enough.

I know how unexpected a loved ones death can be. I'll never forget being woke up to "Ty, your father just passed away", I swear it felt like I was living in a bad dream for an entire month. My father was only 43 and died because...let just say he enjoyed his beers. It still feels unreal to me, I still feel as if I could just call him on the phone and talk.

As we all know, time will do the healing. Always remember there's no going back, and I'm sure your father would only want you to push on in life and stay strong:thumbup:

It is how much love they felt for us that we sense we have lost.

Every thought of them honours their deep caring for us, and our warm thoughts of them simply do go on forever.

I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of your father. When a loved one passes so suddenly like that it leaves a lot of guilt and unanswered questions.

Just take comfort in the fact that you told him what you needed to tell him. May he rest in peace, and hopefully you can find some closure and some relief from your pain.

I don't visit this section often, but just happened to come in and saw this. I am tremendously sorry to hear of your loss. I can't imagine the things you must be feeling. My deepest condolences, brother. :(
