Sad Stories...Knives we have lost...

Most of my knives were stolen in the late 90's from my uncle's garage. I had my Case two-blade Hunter with me, but the rest were stolen, along with $4k worth of my uncles' tools. The worst part was a handmade knife was taken, one of six that were made by a family friend who later died.

I've replaced some that had deep sentimental value, but those first ones can never really be replaced. :(

I lost a fully serrated CPM440V Spyderco Military with the diamond engraving. Best I can recall I lost it at a remote job site that is frequented by over-the-road truck drivers. Hopefully whomever found it gave it to their son and it has a good home, being used hard every day resulting in another Spyderco enthusiast. Soon after the loss, I embarked on a mission to replace that knife and was lucky enough to score a used one (on a deal) that had just returned from the factory in Golden for slight tip repair and sharpening. Got a deal but I really wish I'd never have lost the first one. I was sick. Turned my company truck and my tool bag upside down looking for that thing.

Also lost an Uncle Henry knockoff of the Buck 110. I think they called it a Bear claw. Wish I had that thing now as it would be worth ten times what I originally paid for it. These vintage Schrade collectors are some sick people... :D
