Hello my dear friends,
Thanks Good God today i finished a new folder that i myself truly enjoy - i called it 'Safari' as the shape and materials bring Africa into my mind
The frame itself is a kit one and is machined from stainless steel and fitted and finished by hand. The blade and scales and overall fit and finish are all 100% handmade.
I used the high carbon 80crv2 tool steel for the blade (i am indeed a carbon steel addict
) on which i kept the forged finish to match the overall look. It is an excellent cutter with only a micro second bevel. The blade length is app 2.95".
The scales are a gorgeous looking combination of both modern and ancient materials - we have a vintage micarta main body and a 10000 years old stabilized mammoth ivory bark that not only looks exclusive but also ads to the overall value of the knife.
The blade works on bronze washers so it is has a sturdy and fluid action but it is not a flipper; as you can see in the attached vid it can be opened with only one hand
Everything is hand finished and nicely buffed and it feels and looks excellent.
The price for this knife is 195 usd.
