this is a Safariland RUGER GP100 4" revolver sheath.

it's used, i picked it up at a gun show, thinking it'd fit my 6" GP100. but no fit, as far as i can tell, it's only for a 4" model. tension is adjustable. you can tell it's been used, but the leather is in reasonable condition and the fitting is very stiff. safariland makes a nice drop sheath -- it's made to hang from a police belt with some drop. i really like this holster, just wish it'd have fit a 6".

Midge, thanks for the opportunity, but based on your email about the cylinder fit, I don't think this holster will fit my standard GP100

melvin-purvis and myself did a little research-- it is made for a 4" GP100 w/ fixed sights, that is at least what the sheath is marked as.


ruger did make GP100's in 4" with fixed sights, but it doesn't look like they make them anymore? looks like now they are offered in adjustable sights. also, this sheath looks like it is made for a full underlug, not those half-lugged GP's.


we don't really have consensus on the cylinder differences between the adjustable sight vs. fixed sight models. if anyone has any input on this please let me know?


i bet there's no change in cylinder fit between the two, but maybe there is and it's best not to risk buying a holster that won't fit.


so if you have a 4" ruger GP100 w/ fixed sights, this is for you.
