I have close to 70 knives, and only 1 of them never gets used. It's around only 15 years old, but it's my most favorite knife.
I think that you can see why I don't use it.
Other than this one knife, every other knife that I own gets used as intended.
I see knives as they should be seen, as tools. You don't buy a ratchet to hang on the wall and look at do you? You wouldn't hang a crescent wrench next to a Picasso would you?

Yet at the same time there are those possessions that hold more sentimental value than nominal value. This knife was given to me by my father when I was 10 or 11, and is entirely responsible for my knife collection from that point onward. Yes I do have snazzier knives than this one, but it is because of this one that I have them.
