Finished another one of these SAFE System II Kodiak's (Survival Adventure Field and Exploration) up recently and here are a couple of pics.

These guys sport a 6" long blade of 3/16" thick CPM154. Functional sawteeth on the spine, a two-tone satin/blasted finish, asymmetrical guard, and knurled (under the cord wrap) stainless steel hollow handle round out the major features. This one also had the steel plated aluminum buttcap, handy for hammering/pounding with the knife.

I also began a new process on this knife, applying clear GunKote to the blasted portion of the knives. This makes the blasted finish much more resistant to staining/smudges now, and makes it practically immune to corrosion (practically speaking). I also like the look it gives it.

This one had the Basic Survival Kit instead of the additional PSK knife that usually goes behind the pouch on the sheath. Very pleased with how it came out, and the new owner is rather happy as well. Thanks for looking!
