Safety googles vs full face shield

I needed an MRI a couple years ago. They ask some questions something along the line of:

"in the last year, have you done any welding"
"yes"
"grinding"
"yes"
"machining"
"yes"
"had to get any metal removed from your eye"
"yes"

Then they get a little nervous about sticking you into the big super conducting magnet because there can be crud in your eyes than can be affected by the magnet, scrambling your vision.

My older brother had to get an MIR, and he started shouting and yelling for them to turn it off. He had a piece of steel embedded in his eyelid. It was pulling his eye lid up away from his face!

They told him he was lucky the magnet was pulling up, not down, as the shard might have migrated into his eye.

Guys let me say I've had to have metal that rusted removed from my eye and it is a horrible experience.
I spent my 37th birthday at the eye surgeon and I was wearing safety glasses with side panels they aren't enough.

I saw this was a old post but looking at the pictures it reminded me of how much that day and the few after sucked.

Do any of the face shield respirators have models for large heads? My head was estimated at 130th percentile for Caucasian males, and as such I have difficulty with hats and such fitting my head properly. I believe I was measured out to a 66cm circumference. I will look more after work, but a client just came in.

Hold a lighter to the inside of the mask. Thers a protective film there to stop it from getting scratched but you are supposed to remove it before use. You could also use toothpaste and rub the inside of the lense
