Hate to be Johnny joykill here, but if you forge outside or anywhere the heat can be amplified, remember to drink fluids... Its getting to be that time of year at least here in the south where ambient temperatures combined with heat from the forge will push you into the heat fatigue and such stages really quickly... The reason I say this is a friend regrettably didn't pay attention to his quickly drying mouth and slowing perspiration before toppling over. It is really easy to get involved in what you are doing and forget.
Cheers.

Amen Brother. I got into very serious trouble several years ago working on the shop, not forging. I was determned to finish the job, but by the time I staggered inside I was shivering and puking, couldn't keep water down. I stood in the cold shower for 45 minutes before i got my temp down. Very foolish, I should have called 911. It took me a long time to fully recover.

AND....drinking beer or any other alcohol isn't drinking fluids. It may make it worse.

Amen... I may enjoy the occasional adult beverage, but despite what the beer commercials may show, beer is not refreshing during spirited outdoor endeavors...
