Sage 1... Difference between taichung and just taiwan

Taichung is a city in Taiwan and literally means "central Taiwan". It is known as an industrial manufacturing city in Asia, and I imagine that they are trying to establish more of a name for themselves in the world of knife manufacturing by separating themselves from just "Made in Taiwan".

Same intent as Seki City, Sheffield, Toledo, and Solingen.

I just kind of wish they had stayed with the font they used to use for the "Taiwan" stamp - the "TAECHING TAIWAN" one looks a little ugly to me. I certainly love the knives, in any case, and I know I'm being finicky.

Spyderco's people in Taichung Taiwan make some of the best production knives in the world, imo. Spectacular fit & finish; at least on par with Golden CO. Buy with confidence!

I'd love to see "Taichung, Taiwan, Earth" stamped into the tangs...

The Taichung made blades are probably the best Fit and finished Spydercos produced. Better than my Golden or Seki City made.
