I just received a Sage 3 yesterday and I'm surprised at how wide it is. Wider than the Sage 1 & 2 and much wider than the Native 5. I compared to it to my Manix 2 and it's as wide. Not really a show stopper for me but a friend also received a Sage 3 yesterday and it's too wide for him. I guess we'll see how much this actually goes into my pocket.
What I really like is how smooth it feels when deploying. It's a little smoother than my Manix 2 G10 and my Para Military 2 and that's saying a lot! Smoother than my Sage 1 or 2 as well. The bolt lock is pretty cool too! I can actually open or close the knife using either my thumb on one side or a finger on the other. Unlike my Manix 2s where I have pull back on both sides of the lock to release it. I'm not sure why Spyderco doesn't use the bolt action lock on more of their knives. It seems to be very user friendly.
Enjoy the Sage 3! I'll be interested to hear your thoughts.
