Sage II not out until October?

Several of the dealer sites are now listing the Sage II delivery date as Sept 30.

Also, it looks like the Leafstorm has been pushed back until the end of June...

Are these dates in any way "official" (ie, not just guesses on the part of dealers?)

That is really bad news. It could be true, the Leafstorm Pilot Run were on the SFO a month ago, but nothing so far abouth the Sage II Pilot Run...

Probably just guesses. Possibly even something programmed into their inventory system to jump any knives they had originally "predicted" would be released in May and which were not yet in stock to that date.

From what I understand, Pilot Runs are only for Golden made knives, so there will not be one for the Sage.

I will wait patiently for my Sage. I don't want anything rushed. As for the leafstorm.....you guys can do what ever with that one :P Not my cup of tea

As many upcoming Spyderco's that I have on pre-order right (in pairs no less!) now my wallet can use a little time in between deliveries anyway ;)

maybe guesses but certainly not automated guesses. the leafstorm ETA was jumped ahead just a few weeks while the sage ETA got jumped ahead by over 2 months!

Paul is correct, on both counts.

can you please offer any more insights then???

Spyderco does not know how every dealer manages inventory. It varies from dealer to dealer. It's at their discretion if they wish to post delays. Who really knows what's happening? There are no given dates for releases.

A wise man once told me to exercise patience. If he were here right now he would say that release dates aren't being announced for new models. Basically... It'll come out when it comes out.
