I can't seem to get away from the Spyderco Sage. I have owned four Sage 1s, three Sage 2s, and a Sage 3. I currently own none, but am looking. I don't know what it is. When I have a Sage, some other knife catches my eye and I think I can live without it. When I'm Sageless, I miss it.

I think one of the things I love best about this great line is that it is a small knife (which I prefer) that fits comfortably in my large size hands. And they are beautiful, and they have excellent F&F for a very affordable price. I think I'm in love again. I'm contemplating buying all four. But how long will it last...

Post some pics of your Sages, so I can see what I'm (currently) missing.

Ooh man the same exact thing happens to me, I've sold a few sages as well and currently have none. But now I'm looking to get another sage 2.

Ditto over here. Missing the Sage 2...and the Sage 1 and I also find myself
reading post/watching vids on them and checking out the exchange.

Here's a couple hiding behind their big brother...

Buy one and keep it and then buy some other knives and keep them too. And then you will be happy, and probably broke.

I have bought and sold the Sage 1 twice now. For whatever reason, I just can't seem to enjoy it as much as my Sage 2.

I tried the 4 when it came out, but it was just too heavy for me. I'm a huge fan of the first three, however... And I'm looking forward to the next installment in this series!

The Chaparral has replaced the Sage 1 in my pocket, but I do carry the Sage 2 and 4 often. Could never warm up to the Sage 3, however.

As of today in fact (Sage 4), I am now the proud owner of all four of the knives in the Sage series. I agree with Cisco Kid that the Sage 3 is the weakest in the bunch. I refuse to post a crappy camera pic so I will take a group pic when I get home tonight. I feel it is more of a medium sized knife than a small knife. The ergos are great, and the ffg S30V blade is a great slicer. The only bad part is that it is a wide knife in the pocket, not thick but wide. I am eagerly awaiting what they come up with for the Sage 5.

The Sage 3 was the only one that really seemed to be a unique addition to my collection. I think it was more affordable at the time too. Now I'm waiting for the Sage 4 to come down in price. I believe my tastes are changing... or just another case of passing infatuation

Nice! Looking forward to pics.

The 1, 2, and 4 are great. The 3 didn't do it for me. Awkward lock.

Here are the pics, had to take them in the basement so lighting and setup is not that great. Interestingly enough this is the first time I have noticed the handle on the Sage 3 is slightly longer than the others. The Sage 4 is the thickest, being slightly thicker than the Sage 3. It's also the heaviest.

2 and 4 are my favorite. Great ergos, materials, and just awesome design. The Sage series is a Spyderco classic that will never die!.....hopefully:D

Allright, I caved. All four are on their way to me. Here's hoping it sticks this time. Pics when they arrive!

I thought the AZ ironwood of the Sage 4 was a much lighter shade. Those are some great pics!

Three of four have arrived! Just waiting on the Sage 2. The quality of these knives impresses me every time, especially for the price. Pics (and maybe a review) when the fourth arrives!
