Does anyone know how many Sage I & Sage II were produced, or if they are still in production?
I was under the impression that each Sage version was only produced for a certain amount of time, and was just wondering how many got put out.

The sage 1 and sage 2 are still in production. They are one of those products that will stay in production until they lose popularity.

In that case, it should be a while. Fantastic knives, both of them.

Your information is incorrect.

From the beginning, the "plan" for the Sage series has been to keep each version in production for as long as there is demand for it, while adding new versions every so often. That's why both the Sage I and Sage II are currently available and will remain available after the Sage III hits the streets this month, and at least until the "drop list" for 2012 is announced.

Beyond that, as with all of Spyderco's current production, one would need a crystal ball to predict whether sales will continue to justify each versions retention in the lineup. However, given the continued praise both receive, I strongly suspect all three Sage versions will still be with us in 2011 and beyond. :)
