Sage vs ParaMilitary2

I am assuming that you are referring to the Sage 1.
Sage vs Paramilitary 2
Carbon fiber scales vs G10
Liner lock vs Compression lock
Deep carry wire clip vs standard clip
Both knives open lightening fast. The blade on the sage is a bit shorter. My preference as an EDC is for the Sage. A bit dressier in my opinion, and less apt to draw attention from the NKP and I love the wire clip.

I think that depends more on your tastes and preference. I really like the Paramilitary 2, and it suits me fine. The biggest difference is going to be size. There's tons of reviews of both on youtube, and you should check those out.

I have a Sage 1 and a Para-Military 2. Both are superb folders made with top-notch materials; excellent fit-and-finish on both. I think the Sage offers a little more versatility in that it would not look out of place being drawn from a pair of jeans or an expensive suit. The Para 2 is a little more rough-and-tumble with far superior ergonomics--the Sage is quite comfortable, make no mistake, but the Para 2 simply blows it away in this category. Overall, I think the Para 2 is the better knife, but sometimes sacrifices must be made for appropriate EDC consideration/selection...

I wouldn't want to have to choose between these knives and, man, am I glad I have both! Good luck, OP! :)

Both are claimed to be "Spyderco's best EDC's".
Some think the Para 2's new compression lock makes it superior, but the Sage is smaller, more formal, people friendly, and just as ergonomically pleasing IMO.

I got both.

If I had to choose one, it'd be the Para 2.

Certainly not as EDC friendly as the Sage, but ergos are much better for me.

I have the Sage 1 & 2 as well as the ParaMilitary 2.

I like them all! I rotate between them for normal EDC.

If I had to choose only one, I would keep the Para 2. It's one of the Gray G10 sprint runs with CTS-20CP steel. It's slightly larger size is also a little more versital for my uses.

I've owned all 3 and have kept them all except the Sage 1 but if I had to keep just one it would be the Sage 2. Slightly better ergos for me and ti framelocks are still my favorite lock type. That being said I seem to carry my Para 2 more because of how smooth and quickly the blade deploys and I just love having the cutting ability of a Military in a more slim package.

I just had the same dilemma and ended up getting both. I'll be EDC'ing in a suit, so I got the Sage because of its CF, wire clip, and better conceal-ability. I fell in love with the cts-20cp version of the Para 2 so hunted one down online. However, I don't like the clip and the G10 sides will need to be sanded down. I think the Sage 2 will be my next purchase; I like the Titanium and integral lock.
