I (like I’m sure a lot of y’all have) have gone through tons of every day cary options. (No, you can relax. It’s not one of those)

But for a while, I’d carry a primary folder in my front right pocket. The knife would depend on the day and how I feel. But usually a more modern flipper. Then I’d have a SAK classic in my left pocket. I find it nice to have a small discrete blade when needed, but more so for the scissors, tweezers and toothpick. And I usually carry a Leatherman Skeletool. I work with lumber a lot. So it’s nice to be able to pull out the stupid staples they secure the tags with. Or drive the staples in if they are that stubborn. Not a big fancy leatherman. But I find a good size/tool ratio at least for my needs. Pliers, spare blade (this is often the 3rd blade on me. And the one that gets the majority of the abuse. It’s half serrated anyway 🤣).

Anyway. I recently picked up a Tinker. And fell in love. Small enough to carry nicely. But big enough to do most tasks. I’ve been carrying it instead of the classic lately. To keep the tweezers and toothpick. (Again. Lumber. The tweezers come in handy every few days. Be it for me or a coworker.) but I find myself using the Tinker more than my primary. (Typically a US Kershaw or Benchmade)

I actually like the idea of knocking out one knife for edc (don’t worry. I have a day bag or purse as my wife calls it. I have a couple others there too) but on my person. I think I want to carry just the SAK and leatherman this week. See if I miss having a bigger blade.

Anyway. Sorry for the ramble. My question is do any of y’all actively carry a SAK daily? What model?

Executive here.

Explorer or Ranger (91 mm), and Minichamp or Rambler on keychain. Lost the tweezer for the Rambler, and near inpossible to find relacements here, so I may have to get a Classic for spare parts

Amazon. Or even Victorinox directly sells replacement. I actually ordered a set of 5 tweezers. I keep one in my Skeletool as well. Under the blade

I have a super tinker in my day bag. I find it a tad bulky to carry in pocket. Not much more than a tinker. But the added tools are worth having. Just not In my pocket.
I hear ya. The super tinker pushes the boundaries of the bulk/size and utility of tool choice tradeoff. It is too big for the pocket for most folks. Probably why I do not carry it often. But when camping or hiking, it fits just right in the pocket of my backpack. Great tool.

I always have a classic on my key rings. If the tinker had scissors, I would carry it more. The scissors, bottle opener, and can opener are what I use most on an SAK.

Yup! I would love to see scissors on the tinker. I actually like the can opener for boxes lol. Save a blade.

My dad favors the smaller ones. But I’ve always carried bigger blades. So I like having a good blade of the tinker. I feel that’s the happy medium for tools/pocket size.

And a super or deluxe tinker for a in the bag carry. I think overall the whole Tinker line offers the best Every Day need options

Sure. But to get them shipped to Norway costs more than buying a Classic (or two!). For some reason noone in Norway sells them anymore!

Edit: nevermind. 6-pack on the way from Amazon. Shipping still costs more than the tweezers themselves, but now I should be set for a while

I've carried quite a few for prolonged periods of time, and I'll never get rid of any of them:
1) super tinker
2) Recruit
3) Tourist
4) Spartan
5) Waiter
6) Compact
7) Pioneer

I love all of the above models, though I'd say that I learned early on that I'm not a big three layer guy.
1-2 layers is great for me. My hall of fame would be the tourist- the only SAK I've carried long enough to break the scales and buy replacements.
If I was forced to? I could just carry Victorinox folders for the rest of my life and be happy.

I recently bought one of the Spartan Black Ps models. It will be mostly just display. I won’t carry it. But the blacked out scheme got me 🤣. May put white scales on it. And make it a storm trooper.

I’m hunting for a decent priced waiter and old electrician for my collection
