Courtesy of Bill who goes by scibeer here on the forums, I now have my perfect SAK. As much as I love the SAK Farmer, I just don't find myself popping the cap off a beer, opening cans of food, or dealing with screws when I'm out hiking and camping. So I had him remove the can opener/bottle opener layer and add on a pocket clip. Voila - the perfect SAK (for me!) :D

That is good stuff.....:)

I have often thought about having the saw removed, and add a second small pen blade. That would be my perfect SAK. Because I carve with mine, I'm not much for pocket clips, but when I was backpacking it would have come in real handy.

When you carry in your front pocket, it's hard to retrieve while wearing a pack with a waist strap. A clip would have aided in many more carry options.

Damn it, now I need a new one to modify ;)

Thanks for sharing....

Very nice. Bill does great work. The pocket clip actually feels great on there, makes it a little more hand filling for me. I want to get a Farmer with scissors form him, that may be my ultimate sak.

Hey hey! Got the same knife from Scibeer, only I called it a Woodsman. No beltclip on mine, but ya gotta love he's work.

Just got another one yesterday from him, I had to replace one that got "borrowed" while I was at work :(

I have been thinking about how nice a clip would be but never thought of removing the bottle/can openers.

The saw surprised me at how well it worked so I am keeping mine.

Still $15+/- at Amazon, last I looked. Two puts you over the "free shipping" limit.
No excuse not to buy one (or two) more specifically for mods.

nice looking mod...

i like the can opener, i find it one of the best i have used, including those crank deals that clamp onto the can.

and i have ground down the bottle opener/screwdriver into a small chisel on one before.

i certainly wouldn't mind that knife up there though at all.

I am sending one of mine off next week for the same treatment. I picked up two from Amazon. One Red one Silver. I think I will get the clip on the red one.
