SAK for bushcraft ?

%99 of the time a sak is all I ever bring,,,i9f I bring a back up knife it's also a sak....and the knife in my psk surprise another sak.....for most things their all you need...the line up is vic rucksack in a pouc h whenever in the woods. a supertinker as my edc and in my pocket when in the woods and a farmer in my psk....still working out my chopper preferences...however Nw it's a kabar heavy bowie, at least till becker starts manufacturing again.

Nice I like the Rucksack but the Hunter might be a better choice with the extra serrated blade that can be used as a rescue blade or for rope, cord, vine lashings, nylon type of chores. I like the combo tool with the Hunter. It is a can opener/bottle opener/wire stripper all in one. Big saw and big blade with an awl make it almost perfect. I can do without the corkscrew!

I can also do with out the corkscrew....I like the hunter as well but the rucksack with the supertinker in the pocket is a pretty unbeatable combo

I prefer fixed blades for BC.

I prefer fixed blades for everything. :)

But I do often bring my SAK Ranger into the woods. I don't normally ever use the knife blades, though. The saw blades, scissors and awl/reamer do come in very handy sometimes, and the can openers are nice to have. In more urban environments, the screwdrivers are good. SAKs are great. In most situations you could get by well indeed with just a SAK.
