you know we have the camillus forum, buck forum, spyderco forum, ect.

I think we need a sak forum!!! :D
 
Ok guys not a bad thought, but it is time to move this over to service and support where the voices have a much better chance of being heard.
 
There's certainly a lot of interest in SAKs. If we could get Wenger or Victorinox to participate (fat chance) we could open manufacturer's forums for them, but since they won't ... well, we could still have a forum for discussing that kind of knife whoever makes it (Camillus and others make them too.) How much traffic would that forum get? Probably enough to be viable, I think.

I'm curious-- I'm assuming that they have been contacted and refused before? How come?

Knife knuts have tried to get in touch with them since the net forums started. The most anybody has ever got in reply has been a few letters declining to make a suggested new model.

How come? Your guess is as good as mine....
 
If SAK has no intrest in a forum or even responding to customers about one, I have no intrests in a SAK:eek:
 
I think a SAK forum would be cool. Seems like every few months I discover some supercool model that I have never heard of that they have been making for 20+ years!!
 
SAK's got me started collecting knives and I still buy them. (Have a V-nox Yeoman on the way now.) I would love an SAK forum. Has anyone sent an email to the American Distributor? After the draconian Boston, MA law passed, effectively banning standard V-nox models, you'd think that they would like to gain more support.
 
I sent an email to the president of the US Victorinox Collectors club (Dan Jacquart, tovsakcs@mwt.net) asking him encourage Victorinox to become involved in a BF SAK forum.

Perhaps some encouraging emails from other forumites who are interested in SAK's to Dan would help.
