does the OHT have cellidor scales or the nylon scales? if nylon....is it grippier? i've looked at various resellers and no one seems to describe the scales.

thanks................Bill

The oht and rucksack that I have, have what appears to be nylon scales and it does have a little more texture than the cellidor. I like it because of better grip and it doesn't show scratches as bad.

They also don't stain. Grip is good, as compared to the cellidor equipped SAKs and the Trekker is heavy duty in construction.

yeh i hav one- it isnt cellidor i dont think, so presumably its nylon- you get a much better grip with the nylon and as longbow said its pretty heavy duty, itll take some big hits

It's nylon and a lot stronger than cellidor but not very durable. I dropped mine on a tiled floor and one of the scales shattered. I never liked cellidor much so I buy the "economy" saks whenever I can. A OHT with alox scales, Factory P.E, a corkscrew instead of the phillips and a pocket clip is my dream sak.
