the can opener on my sak is a pain in the arse to open. how can i remedy this without sending it in to warrenty? i carry it everyday.

One nice thing about SAKs is that they open very smoothly and easily. Have you tried cleaning and lubricating it and working it back and forth to smooth it out? You can flush it with WD-40 or even soap and water to clean it. Dry with compressed air.
