Sooo, we've been here in California for a week and a half and it's been good so far. We come out to visit the daughter and her family, and do some beach time and mountain time. And for me, some home chores. I love my son-in-law, but he's no Harry home owner with a tool box. There's always the jobs to do out here. I left home with my travel combo of trusty classic on keyring, and my old Wenger SI in belt pouch.
So far, jobs have been some colored river rock filling in a corner of the back yard, repotting a palm tree, putting up a shelf in a closet, and beach picnic jobs. The classic slit open bags of the river rock and base sand, the awl on the SI made holes for wood screws, the SD tip of the Wenger can opener drove the Phillips screws to hold up the shelf brackets, and the knife blade of the Wenger SI made sandwiches on the beach, and another day sliced up some pizza.
So far, from, Monday the 13th, to today, the classic and Wenger SI have handled all that was needed for tool use or cutting of food items on the road from Texas to here in Costa Mesa California. We'll be leaving to go back to Texas in the morning, and the trusty duo will be on me for the two day drive home. So far, the SAK only carry has done fine.
A 58mm and 93mm make a fine team.
