SAKS vs Opinel for EDC

Pinnah,

Yup that definitely makes sense to me. I personally neck carry my Mora. I just cut off the belt loop and used a clove hitch to attach a paracord lanyard to the sheath. Not for everyone I know but after giving it a try I've yet to look back. Some folks use dangler sheaths to get around the hip belt issue but personally I find things hanging on my belt, uless small and low profile get in the way. I image I could get by just fine with an Opinel and some form of MultiTool. The PS4 is a great tool I've had mine for years at this point and only recently stopped carrying it in my pocket. It now lives in my backpack.

The single-bladed Vics feel awesome, the 108mm Solo, 93mm Solo or similar, Bantam or 84mm Solo, they're really cool little knives on top of being good at knifing.

The Opinels do cut better, the Vics are more presentable and thus (to my mind) even more people-friendly than the Opinel's single clip point blade appearance.

If you can lay off beers for a week or two or scrounge up a load of returnables you can probably grab a couple examples to try out.

I keep a Vic Classic on my key chain and it goes every where I do. I also have a Swiss Champ and an older SAK that I use often. My Opinel #4 is never carried. as a matter of fact I started carving on the handle yesterday hoping if I mod it I will like it better.
