Sal: Another Lum Tanto folder Sprint Run?

I'd be pretty flexible about the steel (although I do have my preferences , like everyone). But a liner lock would make me rethink my decision. I'm not a fan of liner locks. A frame lock or compression lock would be outstanding.

To each their own. Spyderco does their liner lock correctly though.

Since you mention it, a compression lock would be interesting.

The only thing I'd want to change is to FFG, but I'm not all that picky on something that looks that good.

Potential for a truly awesome knife - nearly impossible to resist.

Pretty tired of Black G-10 - doesn't add much to the style of a knife these days - kind of overused. I'm partial to a moss green or even a brick red (wouldn't that be new & exotic?). As for steel I suggest the CPM M-4. What's not to like there?

That would be a completely different knife, not true to the original at all. A mid backlock, frame lock, or compression lock would price it up there with a Sebenza or more. The reason would be all new tooling, research and development, and who knows what else being involved; for a knife that might not sell as well as a few folks would like. Not to mention that maker would require at least 800-1000 pieces to even begin. Lots of money and time to be tied up on a sprint.
The Gray G10 version is still available once in a while on the Exchange. The previous fixed blade sprint with burgundy paperstone handles is also still available and that was just over $200 for a VG10 blade, not the green and black G10 fixed blade is still available. That is an excellent design.

To keep costs down, get it to the market faster and keep to its roots it needs to be hollow ground and a liner lock. Even VG-10 is fine but CF or the green/black G-10 would set it apart nicely.

Do it! Do it! Do it!!!!!!!!!!!

Another alternative, to get to market possibly faster, is to use VG-10 and the same Forest Green / Black G-10 used on the recent Lum Tanto Fixed Blade Sprint Run.
+1
I will not be able to resist this combination. I looks terrific on my fixed blade.

Missed out on the grey sprint but a couple of years ago swapped my toxic green USN endura for one NIB at a gunshow. It's been a safe queen so far but I'm tempted to start carrying it and using that gorgeous tanto in spite of the stain magnet grey g10. I'd snag a new one in darker g10 of any color in a heartbeat.

I'd be in for sure. I had my grey sprint converted to a frame lock and disliked it so I sold it. I regret messing with it to begin with. Love to see a CF handle or straight titanium. Cheers.

I've always said its one of my favourite designs. I'm surprised it's not part of the permanent lineup.

HAP40 and black G10 would be awesome. Natural linen or antique ivory micarta would be even better, but that's just dreaming ;)
