Sal: C36 w/ SecureLok?

a rolling lock military would be my everyday carry definitely! i believe that it would replace my axis lock. i never bought one before because of the price and the liner lock. i would definitely pay $200 for this knife.

I'd vote for a lock that doesn't need a safety over a lock plus a safety any day. Sure, you don't need to engage the SecureLock, but it'd probably be better to do it every time than forget one time and have something awful happen. Definitely Rolling Lock, I'd say... just make sure to turn out some left-handed versions!

Sal,

I was going to buy two new Military's to replace the two older versions that I just had reworked by you folks. They cam backing looking like new. But I like the changes on the newer one. If you are going to come out with Rolling lock I will wait and buy two of those. Maybe three would be better?

Thanks to the whole Spyderco crew for the wonderful service. Thanks especially to Danelle who got my knives back to me after the were sent to someone else by mistake. Do you have any idea when these new C36's might be out? I for one can hardly wait! How much will the new lock effect the price? I am guessing they will cost more correct?

Regards,

Tom Carey

Knowing me, I will probably end up getting one of each just because I like the Military so much. Once a "Military man" always a "Military man"

I don't really care for serrations too much, but I am considering getting one just because it is a Military and because it is in 440V.

Definitely the Rolling Lock on the Military. As "Blades" stated earlier on this topic - it takes 2 motions to fully deploy. Would prefer just one motion.

I have had the Military from the very first model (circa 1996) to my latest 3rd generation. In fact, my Military was my first ever high-end knife and it also help sparked my interest into other quality knives. Therefore, Should Spyderco come out with either the rolling lock, or a secuelok, I will have no choice but to continue the tradition of owing another refined generation of C36.

I would greatly prefer the Rolling Lock. I have a Pioneer Tanto in Black Ti, and I really like the locking mechanism. The only problems that I have with it are that I'm on my third set of springs for the lock, and the lock doesn't reduce blade play the way a liner lock tends to.

The Military is already a classic - in design and performance. But add a rolling lock, then created a split-edged version 40%serrated/60%plain and you'll have a knife that NO ONE could ever resist. I have one, but I'd buy 3 just to store two in a vault!

I agree, the Military is already a great knife. Add a SecureLok or Rolling Lock and it is and unbeatable knife. Whichever it is, I'd buy one.
My Military needs a friend anyway.
