Sal & Co. at the NYC Show?

Hi Rugger. There will be a table. I will just be just working protos for input and comment.

I should have a few goodies. "Temperance" FB proto, Might have a "Salsa", "World" knife proto, a neck knife or two, A "Jester" sample (a Ladybug sized knife coming out in 2002), Ocelot proto(Wegner), Impala proto, etc.

Very cool! I'm looking forward to seeing both you gents there. Sal, do you expect that there will be production Perrin &/or Lum FBs at the show? TIA.

Sal--without having the slightest idea what your protos are going to look like, I have to tell you that I like the names you mention. They're "peppy" and, to my amateur ear, highly marketable.
 
Hey Brian. We're really close on the Lum Tanto FB. I won't know until I leave. We have Perrin FBs. But the sheaths aren't in production yet. I could bring them without a sheath and mail one later?

Carlos. The "hard" protos won't be finished until after the show, sorry. I might bring along some "early plastics". We've got a lot of ideas we're developing in that arena. We can perhaps discuss them at the show.

Sal, I'd love to be able to handle the new FBs at the show but any such purchases will have to wait a little bit. I have my eye on a couple of customs. :cool:
 
John, Sal very kindly accomodated me by allowing pix of the prototypes that are in the production pipeline. Give me a day or so to post them but in the meantime, if you're a neck knife fan, you're in for a real treat. How does a Perrin/Glesser NK collaboration sound? :D

Thanks for all those great pics Brian. I can hardly wait for a Salsa or two! Did you get a chance to handle a Lum tanto?
 
Yup, I played with both the Lum & Perrin FBs. They're both great & are on my wish list. I would have preferred that the Lum came with an IWB sheath --it's a belt model, like the ones I believe Lum provides with his customs -- but that won't keep me from getting one. I make my own leather sheaths and, if I decide to go synthetic, there's always Mike Sastre & Normark. ;)

I like the Lum but I absolutely love the Perrin. It's super light, has great balance & ergonomics, and appears that it would cut like a laser.
