In government class today we got into a discussion about possible presidential candidates in the next election---all the usuals popped up: one of the Clintons, McCain, Lieberman..everybody. Since only two of the other guys in my class collect knives and know what a Spyderco is---I got them hooked on them at Knob Creek---I didn't bring up Mr. Glesser but IMHO he would make a better president than any politician that applies. He's an honest, caring guy with a fair warranty and nothing shady about him; he has morals and he's been supporting our troops over in Iraq and Afghanistan. I've never met him personally, but I hope to someday, and from all the forums he obviously cares alot about people's input. Mr. Glesser seems to me to be a heck of a guy. I just wanted to say thanks making the great products (my Lil' Temperance is amazing and so are the rest my Spydies) and for supporting them---plus toss this little political bit out there. God Bless America.

I've never met him, but from everything I've heard, I would vote for him. Of course, if he was President, he wouldn't have as much time to design knives.

We'd all be better off if the President would design knives full time. Keep him/us out of trouble and all.

Steelscout30- In this crazy world it does my heart good to see that a young scout has found a worthwhile role model. I too would like to meet Mr. Glesser someday and have wanted to since reading about him in the mid 90s. As you say...God Bless America.

You know, Mr. Glesser has my vote. I am honestly impressed by his integrity, and I know it's not just something he says. He lives by it.
I have seen him wrestle over warantee issues, and try to be fair and honest about who should and should not get free repair work. I'm certain he puts a lot of thought into moral and ethical issues, and I know we could all learn a lot from him.

Best reason for him to stay out of politics.

Hows the line go?

How can you tell if a politician is lying?

His mouth is moving. :)

OK Guys just skip Blade Party Convention >> I got the right ticket ;) Sal Glesser for President & Bob Lum for Vice President  .

Just think of all the political favors they would owe us if we pulled it off :D

I wonder who they would pick for their cabinet

Doesn't sound much like a politician :D

Sal as a president - no, wouldn't fit in among politicians.

Sal as an autocrat - yes  :D

From how I judge Mr. Glesser, I don't think he would want to be Mr. President. Which I would certainly understand - the job seems to have a notoriety for turning you in to a genociding traitorous liar.

Just my $0.02 ;-)

I agree about Mr. Glesser not wanting the job. I'd like you to back off on the accusation about ANY of our presidents committing genocide. You in germany should know better about what really constitutes genocide than just about any body else.

Perhaps you might educate us as to which of our presidents ran an Aushwitz, Dachau, Bergen Belsen, Treblinka etc. I'd like to know connor, I really would.

The last traitorus liar I can remember was ? Sorry, I only have lived 45 years here. My memory doesn't go back that far. None in the history books I can find either. JL

Phil, you might want to read my post again. I think you are not getting it. JL

edit: Phil, you erased your post and called me a troll to cover up your statement calling connor a nazi, and americans KKK members. thought twice and are attempting to be slick eh kid?

Anon. internet forums can bring out strange behavior in people JL
