Could even be done locally. Better for you if Japan could do it prior to assembly, but oh golly.....neat! Serrated with wave.

pleeeeeeeaaase????????

:D

Think Sal is tied up at knife shows this week.

I bet there are several forumites that could wave your blade for you for a small fee.

You can wave it yourself, its not very hard at all. If you are afraid of hurting it, just put a zip-tie into it for a temp wave.

STR can put a nice wave on it for a very reasonable price. He can also flatten out the tip some to make it nice and pointy. I recall seeing the work he did on someone's Pacific Salt and it looked really good with a nice, big wave on it with a splinter picker tip.

Like in ....brrrrrr..... Dremel? I thought of that but not sure I have the nerve.

I have heard of "STR" before. Where is he, it, them?

:)

STR has his own forum here as well. Look in the knife makers section.

Hi Lavan,

We've received a few requests for a serrated Endura Wave, but more for a Serrated Rescue, so it was made first. You might check it out.

Right now, we have so many variations of the Endura and Delica that we're only adding models that we feel might have a large appeal. And it may mean that a model would have to be deleted.

IMHO, the wave is there primarily for self-defense e.g., pulling a folder in response to an immediate threat, a situation wherein fine finger action is handicapped. It also is used by first-responders whose actions are performed under extreme duress.

In light of this, I STRONGLY warn against the zip-tie method. It's unreliable. Besides, it looks cheap.

STR will put a wave on your knife quickly and cheaply, and it functions and looks as good as the factory waves. STR also does his waves with the express permission of Ernest Emerson, the inventor, as does Spyderco. He's not only a gentleman, but a man of honor.

Glad you like the ziptie idea. Its just for a temp to see if you like the function.
