Sal/Para

It's my experience that the DLC coated Spyderco's don't open as smoothly as the non-coated variety. I know my D2 Para opens like butter.

Can anyone chime in who owns both a DLC coated and a non-coated Para?

FWIW--- It's soo nice having a P-Mil again. There's a certain comfort this knife brings me.

I have two DLC coated knives. The one opens smooth, the other doesn't but I think it has some grit in there.

But the new one is smooth as cream. I honestly don't think the coating can affect the operation that much.

As to the satin vs black choice, I chose black cos I thought it went well with the digicam. Its a great combo.

I agree. Black blade with Digicam is an excellent combo.

I'll put it on the wanted list.:D

Consistently, Spyderco's are the smoothest o&c folders.
Josh---I'm done gushing!! :p

Lycosa, Keep gushing, we won't hold it against you.
We're talkin' Spydeco here! That's something to gush about!:D

My old S30V P Mil was Perfect...this one, D2, is Perfecter. :D
Typical Spyderco. ;)
