Dragonfly is one of most beautiful Spyderco knives IMHO. And I think if it will be twice big it will be still most beautiful. I like wide blades, and not only me has such preferences - Manix, ZT300 etc - all are pretty popular. With ZDP189 it will be undenieble!

It may be called Jurrasic Dragonfly and have my fivorite orange handle...

Thanks, Vassili.

P.S. And please, make it possible to preorder.

To me the Calypso Jr. was a big brother to the Dragonfly. Especially the original Micarta handled versions...

Not big enough! I am talking about 4". Also eve it looks similar, still Dragonfly has pretty elegant clean lines and looks better.

Thanks, Vassili.

Okay, how about the original Calypso (C-54?). It's a Police with micarta handles and a leaf blade.

Well, there are many great knives made by Spyderco, I do not remember original one, I asked for Callipso Senior about 6 monthes ago, no replay. I will welcom original Callipso, but I like big Dragonfly eather! (Also Bob Terzula was pretty nice knife...)

Thanks, Vassili

the lava, you can do it on the dragonfly. and the kopa etc.. Increase your market by 10 to 15 percent as well.

I've always thought that a bigger Dragonfly could be cool. I'd maybe make it 50% or so larger. It's definitely one of the most elegant Spyderco designs.

The blade of the Dragonfly is similar to several designs out there, but the handle is what the knife special. I've got one right now.

I really think the C54 Calypso was a little ahead of it's time. If Spyderco would make another run at it with updated materials, I can't see why it wouldn't be a big hit.

I would love to see something like a larger version of the Calypso III. The Manix is a big beefy knife but too big and heavy for EDC. Maybe the Mini-Manix is better but I hear is it still pretty heavy and large.

I love my Calypso, in fact it's in my pocket right now.

I would love a new one with the same clip choices offered on the new delicas and enduras.

Heck it wouldn't even need to be oneof the new "super" steels to make me happy. The one I have is VG10 and it seems pretty super to me.:D

I would very much like a Dragonfly in the same size, but in black G10 and VG10 steel;)

Ok - now we're talkin':D Actually, I think I would like to see it in VG-10 and the plastic clip gone - perhaps sort of set up like a Delica 3 as a minimum. Maaaayybee like a D4, but in reality, I wouldn't want to see it too much heavier. I love it's lightness. Larger Dragonfly - well, I have my Caly 3, close enough:) There also might not be enough of a market to make it viable either - price would definitely go up.

I know this thread is 4 months old but I too would like to see a larger dragonfly. It does have cleaner lines than the Calypso Jr and it is a great knife. Maybe call it the Dragonfly Sr. and give it a 3 inch blade.

bungwrench, this thread's worth resurrecting.

the design of the dragonfly is one of my favorites as well. very clean and simple. upgrading it to d4 materials would make a killer knife. i'd also love to see it in a g10 slip like the ukpn. maybe one built like the g10 byrd knives. they would have to be additional models, in my opinion, not replacements. the dragonfly would be a series of knives (standard, ss, d4, g10). a big part of the appeal of the dragonfly is the price and that should definitely be preserved in the base model.

i'd love to see every format possible packed into the dragonfly's small frame and see what happens.

The only thing that I wouldn't want it to have is screwed construction like the D4 has. I would want to leave everything pinned as it looks more elegant and is maintenance free.
