The SS Plain Edge version of the Harpy here in the states?

We of course have the SE version, and the PE version is (as far as my knowledge) being produced and is available in Japan.

This causes a huge difference in the price for the two models, yet the knife is the same materials.

I can get a SE version here in the states for $65, but if I order from a company or watch ebay closely I have to pay $200+ for the plain edge.

What gives?

Thanks for your time.

As long as we're making Japanese market requests, can we also have the titanium Delica, the PE Mariner and the SE Mariner? :D

if you ever decide you don`t want SS handle but same blade shape , i reccomend the Tasman salt . RUSTPROOF

Hi Zatx.

They just don't well well enough to maintain inventory.

The Tasman is available in plain edge, but I don't know for how long.

Would be nice if we could order it from the SFO and they have Seki drop ship it to us for those items we cant get over here.

Or...

If you like you can keep the inventory at my house.

The Seki maker makes them one at a time, it's small volume and a few parts are already made. The dealer is connected to our maker. When the maker runs out of parts, he'll stop. No one wants to make and inventory 1200 knives worth of parts for a small volume.

They're around. We've done a few runs here and there. They're just harder to find. The new Superhawk is plain edge. It is also a short run.

We'd be happy to keep inventory at your house, as long as you will cover the cost of an inventory of 500 pieces :p

Thank you for the responses Sal.

It's nice learning how these knives come together and get the big picture. No wonder the cost is so high.

Thanks for your time, and I'll pass on covering the costs of 500 pieces for now. Let me get back to you on that one.

If we can get 500 other people to go in maybe we could split the costs. I throw in 1/500th of the costs if it means getting one.
