Sal, would you or do you carry another brand?

Hi Clipiteer. Interesting question.

Spyderco carries and distributes some knives by other makers. We are actively involved in handling G.Sakai knives. In fact we are currently looking at US custom designs to add to the G.Sakai line. We carry Moki brand but retail only, through SFO. Spyderco owns the Solo label and we'll be offering a number of different designs here and there under the Solo label.

In addition, Spyderco is the Randall dealer for Colorado. We also carry Chris Reeve and Owen Wood knives at SFO.

No plans for any other brands at this time.

Sal, Interesting answer ! :>)) I had no idea that " Spyderco" was more than just "Spyderco".
 
I think he meant "carry" as "carry in your pocket."

I can't see why Sal would do that, but it's an interesting question.
 
Perhaps it wasn't clear. What I meant was carry in your pocket. Just curious to see if you thought another brand was good enough to be carried instead of a Spydie. Sorry for the mix-up.
 
Sorry Clipiteer. Guess I misunderstood. In folders, I generally carry Spyderco. I've really become accustomed to "hole openers" and like the control if offers. I might carry another brand to test it. I usually have a bali around, but don't often carry them.

If I'm in the bush and I'm carrying a FB, I use other brands (Cold Steel) and I have a number of FB customs that are users.
