I might be a few years behind, oh well . My favorite models to date are the original Lil Temp, Manix, Native and PM2.

You combined every single feature to make a very durable and ergonomic EDC. An instant Classic.

Thanks for the new knife. With a man size choil to boot.

Everyone seems to love it but I can't get into it. The Native never clicked with me, and it seems like a Native with a compression lock.

What's better about it compared with a Para?

It's a cool knife !
Mostly I like the thick handle.
I'd go for a more narrow blade like the Police or Endura.
It was pointed out to me the other day in a YouTube that the sculpted handle (rounding near the compression lock) can cause one to drop the knife. Having experienced that very thing due to working my Para2s with bandaged fingers I now am a bit leery.
The corner of the blade gaping and exposed at the tang end when the knife is closed kind of bugs me and is why I haven't been a fan of Andrew Dempko designs.
For instance this is "good"

Yeah I dont like that gap either. Benchmade crooked river is another one.

I've not had good luck with the compression lock from a comfort standpoint, but I do love my native so the shaman seems like one I should give a go to. PM2's and PM3's were my only compression locks though, and there were things about the design I didn't care for, especially the big thumb ramp. Interestingly, like the thumb ramp on the military but it's a bigger knife so maybe that has a lot to do with it.

I may get a native chief first, once it's available in anything but black.

I was not sure what to expect. The fit and finish is certainly top notch on these. I did take the clip off and make is a bit more low profile and I dont notice it now.

The stonewash is awesome. Kind of a darker stone wash and clip matches nicely. Pretty cool, as it wears in this knife is capable of front flipping lol.

I’d like to try one out in person before I buy one. They look a bit too thick from all the pictures I’ve seen, but even with the dimensions out there, it’ll be a lot easier to judge one in hand.

Its a unique knife for sure and if you like the compression lock you will love this. It locks up with more authority than other models with a good clack. It has no problem doing fine work and slices great but has a thicker tip than the PM2/Mili. I really had not idea what it would be like until it was in my hand.

Mostly the ergos are insane and the choil is the right size to fit the meatiest part of my finger.

It carries a little bit like an XM 18 non flipper or Manix 2 in the pocket which I love.

Its not as lefty friendly though for one handed operation.

Im working on a some home projects right now and im curious to test it against the thinner resilience.

This makes me smile, for reasons I cannot say yet.

I like my Shaman. It was a disappointment in one respect however.
It was not as fun to play with as a Para 2 or my Lil Native. The comp
lock is thicker than a para 2 and requires more force to release...but
it locks like a vault.

I just did not understand. Opening it slowly with the hole it is
SMOOTH...and when the lock sets with a very nice click you begin to
see it is a serious folder, and not a toy at all. The blade is rugged, ergos
for feathering or hard cutting are nice. I view it as my ultra-duty comp
lock knife. I took off the clip and deep carry it. It is heavier
in the pocket than I expected, but balance is excellent.
A very nice piece that is a bit too much for EDC...but great for the times
you need it.
