Sal

Sal and his crew take into consideration a BIG part of what customers ask. Check out the spyderco forums.

An example would be over at the spydie forums we made a thread asking to bring a sprint of the "dodo" back.

And after a year of begging we got this "We are working on a run for you. The model has to be re-engineered and that is in process. sal"

I LOVE SPYDERCO!

Its really cool that the presidednt of such a large company cares enough to pay attention to the forums and interact with customers. It makes you feel that the imput we give on designs is actually listened to, and that there are normal people running the company not just a faceless corporation.

Hi Dcycleman,

Thanx for the comments. Although I must admit that Spyderco is not a very large company. We have an excellent Marketing Manager, Joyce Laituri, that manages to make us look larger than we really are. "A mouse with a megaphone". Total number of employees runs about 40.

As far as forum input, our attitude would be:

The entire "business chain" from; raw materials, invention, design, manufacturing, marketing, selling, distributing, shipping, warrantees, insurance, credit, etc. ALL EXISTS to service the ELU (End Line User). Remove the ELU from the equation and the entire business chain falls like a house of cards. We all work for you!

This is one of the things I love about spyderco!

Exactly right! Around these parts, some of the LEs frown on one-hand openers as possible weapons. But that hasn't stopped me from buying Spyderco knives. They rock and so does the company!

Sal, in case nobody has made the pun yet, you have a Golden company!
