Normally when items are put on sale at a discount it is because it is leftover stock or rejects that were kind of plain, so they get sold cheap.
But not these. My wife had the idea of giving a special introductory discount for the first couple days on brand new pieces. So I told her I would give it a try with the new Mango. If these sell quickly, then I can spend more money to get more wood and keep a good flow of brand new pieces going through the store.

For the next couple days ALL of the stabilized Mango has been marked down 20% as an introductory special. On Tuesday they will go back to their normal prices. This is your chance to get first choice of the brand new wood and get a discount as well.

This is a brand new batch of stabilized Curly Hawaiian Mango. These were stabilized by Knife & Gun Finishing Supply in Arizone. (aka K&G)
These have good coloring and very chatoyant figure. Even the plainest piece looks really good. Mango is very easy to work with and finishes up with a flashy metallic luster. The figure has a lot of movement as the light hits the wood from different directions. There are a wide variety of sizes, coloring and figure.

Prices range from cheap to affordable. If you haven't tried Hawaiian Mango before this might be the right time to see what it is like. Just a warning; the good figured Mango like this is not available very often. I get mine from the fellow who supplies my best Koa. He only finds good figured Mango once or twice a year.

These photos show the New Stabilized Mango blocks that are on sale. There are quite a few (42) to choose from. Click on one of the photos to go to where they are in the store.

Today is the last day for the discounted prices on the stabilized Mango.
Time for me to get busy cleaning up the latest batch of stabilized wood to go into the store.
These new blocks include Czech Maple Burl, Circassian Walnut Burl, Fiddleback Australian Stringy Bark Eucalyptus and a few pieces of Gmelia Burl.
