I decided to let one of my Custom Shop ASH1s go, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Japan. In fact, my employer has a 2-for-1 match through April 11th, which will triple my donation. It is the one with a Satin blade finish (the blade is 0.22 inches thick) and Orange/Black G-10 handles. The specific knife is shown below, and is furthest from the lens. Although you cannot see it, it is sterile (no markings on the blade).

I am asking $750 shipped (to any address, though overseas buyers assume the risk associated with overseas shipping), which is significantly less than I paid for it. If paying by PayPal, the fees, if any, are included. Regardless of the shipping cost or PayPal fees, the amount to be donated will be the full $750.

Hey If someone wants to buy this I will pitch in $65. I really want to help Japan and this is a good way to have the money go very far with the 2-1 match.

Am I undrstanding correct? The donated $ will be taken off the $850? $850-$125=$725 so far?

I think that's backwards, should be 850 + 125 = current donation of 975.

I'll kick in $25 and get it up to $1000.

Can't afford the knife, & I'm not into pumpkin.
 
I very much appreciate the various offers to contribute separately, and I welcome that as long as you were planning to donate to this cause anyway, and would like to combine it with my donation in order to maximize (triple) your own. To make it clear, my employer (Adobe Systems) asked us to donate to Give2Asia, and this is the web page that we were asked to use: http://give2asia.org/adobe-japanrelief

But, such donation offers don't belong in this sale thread, which is what I am sure Spark would prefer. Please contact me via PM or email, but only if you were planning to contribute anyway. I am not asking anyone to do so. I merely have a stake in what's transpiring there, because I have in-laws, friends, and colleagues there, and I believe that they are now in harm's way.

I have two other auctions on other forums that will end this evening, and should reach $2500, which will maximize my employer's 2-for-1 match, making it become over $7500.
