Sales Data Bestselling Knives at Amazon

The majority of my knife buying comes from either the BF exchange, or KW.com. How many users here actually buy from Amazon? I'm just wondering, as it seems to me that most of the users end up buying from online retailers dedicated to knives.

I usually buy all my Victorinox, Spyderco, and some Kershaw knives on Amazon. They have a great selection and don't charge me tax or shipping.

That's not really a surprising list at all to me. :)

It's a big world out there outside of BF. ;)

I've bought a few from Amazon when their prices beat all other online dealers. This is the exception rather than the norm though.

For the most part, Amazon/seller listings for decent knives are overpriced. For example, most of their Benchmades are either "unavailable" or listed at 90% MSRP. What a joke.

Some Spydercos and Kershaws there can be found for good or OK prices. Anything else, tough luck. It'll either show up as "unavailable" or some price ridiculously close to MSRP.

That's been my experience. Amazon is always worth a look, you sometimes find great prices...but almost always only in the Sold By Amazon category, plus you get the free shipping.
They also have great sale prices at times.
I've gotten outstanding prices on several Spyderco, Sog, Leatherman, and SAK items.

As you note all the other base prices are way to high, plus frequently they have outrageous shipping charges.

The list of top sellers is interesting. Wonder what percentage of overall knife sales Amazon does. A list from Walmart, Cabela, or Bass Pro might be more representative.
