Mine would be a "keys to happiness" totem. It would only require 2 holes. 1. Family, 2. Community.

You can't? I quit smoking years ago and I try to eat healthy and exercise. I am pretty sure it makes a difference. My blood pressure used to be off the charts and now it is normal. Your health is your wealth. Plus, I just feel better when I exercise and I am happier and have more energy to share with my family. Heart disease is the number one cause of death in the US as well as the rest of the world and there is something each individual can do about it. Sure, it is always possible to come down with some disease that is not preventable but at this point most of the leading causes of death are very preventable or curable.
 
My "Personal" value totem is:

Health; Because if I'm not healthy, I can't do anything about anything else of value. Everything below on the totem, will be dependent on my ability to be healthy enough to accomplish whatever needs to be done.
Family; If one is going to create a family unit, and be responsible for that family unit, everything else that one expends energy on, will be affected by the family unit.
Home; A safe, warm, dry place for the family unit.
Work / Career; Provides the power to maintain the family unit, maintain the work / career unit, and perhaps plan / provide for the future of the family unit and work. Better if one enjoys their work, but often that is
matter of attitude, which is another discussion.
Friends / hobbies; Personal rewards that are not met by 1,2,3 & 4

We use holes so one can define their own priorities. Also keep in mind that priorities will change as situations change, one gets older, and one learns more.

Thanks for sharing Sal. Have your values changed since you started wearing it? I like it and may get one, but I'm pretty partial to my DogTag knife around my neck.

 
I've been wearing a totem for decades. The original concept was universal values; / strengths / powers (Philosophical stuff). We added the personal values about 20 years ago. My personal values haven't changed in many years.

I am a pretty simple person. Emphasizing family, and community creates happiness universally. What if you live in the slums of New Delhi, or in Syria?
 
These were never availablo to overseas people, right?

I see no international shipping option on their website...:(
 
Hi Sal,

Can I ask where did you get your necklace/chain to fit the opening on the pendant? I'm having a hard time finding necklaces that will fit. Thanks:)
