Since the pole to pole project didn't generate any contacts, I'll put this guy out for another passaround, this time with Normark's excellent kydex neck sheath.

Knife is the Green Salsa passaround that's made a trip through the US and Canada. Sheath is Normark's Kydex neck rig. Some people have contacted me about another salsa passaround, so here you go.

Ok, let's wrap this baby up.

I'll try and get it out Saturday.

Here's the Order:

LBNoble
T. Erdelyi
Carlton
Greymoor

Thank you all.

I'd like to be in on it, if it's being sent out already, then too bad for me!!

Yah, sorry too late.

Maybe there will be a #4 passaround when this is done.

I would love to get in on another one if it happens. The neck sheath thing sounds really cool.

when I get the Lum Chinese and Normark sheath back I'll send it back out too. AT the moment It not here though.

I received the green Salsa w/ sheath today, as well as a Ti Salsa, this worked out well, for a side by side comparison. I'll start w/ the sheath, holds the knife very firmly, there are slight rub marks on the green finish, could be wear or some grit trapped in the sheath. I'm definitely considering getting a micro-rig for my Dragonfly.

The knives do seem larger than pictures have led me to believe, the handles are very comfortable, both are easy to open one-handed, I'm working on the one-handed closing (I'm sort of new to knives). I'm undecided about the cobra hood, one of the great advantages of spyderholes over thumbstuds is no thumb callous. The ti version opens & closes with a bit more resistance & quietly, the aluminum version has a very positive "thwack"! The end of the clip(ti) pokes out a bit more than the green one, this may have been modified because of the sheath. I prefer the placement of the clip on my Navigator, closer to the edge, so it rides lower in the pocket.

Both of them cut like champs, I cut up some boxes & opened mail, didn't try anything heavy-duty. Appearance wise, the ti version is sober & subdued, the green Salsa is ready for a party (green chile salsa-yum!) Overall, I really like both versions & would be quite happy to have either stashed in my purse, on my person my EDC is my Navigator(but this may change)...Linda

Just came home and found the 2 Salsas in a box on the counter, and i have a S&W HRT to check out from another passaround, 3 new knives to check out:D .

Open box impression on the Salsas, , these are some strange lookin' knives, love the Normark Kydex sheath Ihave one suggestion though, it would be nice to be able to use the clip, to clip the knife to my back pocket, and the cord as a static line for when I draw the knife, the sheath is actually added restraint protection should the knife come unclipped from my pocket as I got out of the car, the cord would keep me from losing it.

More to follow.

For those of you following the thread but are not in the passaround, Linda has sent her own TI Salsa she just bought a few days ago along for the ride as well. So participants get two salsa's to try.

I just wanted to thank Linda and note that's pretty darn generous, I think I'd want to play with a new knife for a while before sending it out on passaround.

Hi guys,
Well, I wanted to play w/ these a little longer, but I have 2 kids, 3.5 & 7 years old, between addressing valentines, baking cupcakes for class parties, & working the school book fair, I realized I couldn't give the knives the attention they deserved. I guess I'm just your average, knife-lovin' SAHM.
I loved both these salsas-my Dad wanted to buy me some flowers for Valentines Day & I managed to stop him before he called it in, said I'd much rather have something that would last, like a knife. If you were going to buy your wife, daughter, SO a knife instead of a dozen roses (say, 50-60 bucks), what would you get? I already purchased the salsa & a purple BM mini-grip, should I just chip in a few bucks & get myself a Kiwi (I had planned on getting one before my buyers frenzy took over)?
Dave, thanks to you & all these generous people who organize these passarounds, which involve alot of time & effort, it's great to be able to handle a knife you think you might want to get & despite those people who take advantage of others, it's a great service to the majority of knife knuts...Linda
