Well, I just returned and am most pleased with this knife !

I know its made for salt water and so on so it should be no surprise that it held up so well. Still I was quite pleased.

I snorkeled with it every day (saw many sea turtles btw) I cut up pinapples and other fruit. Cut aloa vera plants, caps off of cigars . It got full of sand and baked by the sun, it got covered in sweat in the waist ban of my swim trunks. i think I washed it off in the sink twice.

What really surprised me was how the "action" did not gum up too much. Often in the heat of the sun and all the water washing out the lube a knife gets way harder to open, this was not the case with the salt 1.

Nice small yellow knife that did not draw any unwanted attention was a nice plus too.

Those Salt knives sure are great for active aquatic carry. I have a SE tasman that i wore everyday while wading in the gulf off the florida coast. Great blade:thumbup:

It would be great if the salt series had screw construction so they could more easily be cleaned of sand and things.

Yes sir, I wish the same way. It is not a good to hear sand rubbing the blade. I can not remove the sand between the blade and FRN handle.
