Can some one explain to me the difference? I understand the different blade shapes but are the handles different? Also would you recommend one over the other? O an one more, for you guys that have the yellow model does that yellow stain at all?

Thanks this will help me out in purchase some time in the next couple of weeks!! :D

The Salt 1 is essentially a rustproof Delica, the Pacific Salt is essentially a rustproof Endura. They look a lot alike until you get them side by side.

Don't have a yellow one, so no first-hand experience, but FRN is pretty non-porous, so it shouldn't stain easily or permanently.

IUKE12 that is a very nice pic you got there. would you recommend one of the other?

I seem to carry the Pacific Salt more than the Salt 1 although truthfully, they are both capable of handling most chores I can think of doing. I guess I just prefer the larger blade a little bit better:)

I also prefer Pacific, i take it when swimming and doesn't feel that big.

mann i need to get one asap, you guys see any good deals around? i almost had one but some one sneak attacked hahaha!

A certain popular auction site has them for around $50 BuyitNow price.

Only stain i've seen on them was an ink stain. I think someone spilled it on the handle can't remember the guys name on here though. I'm pretty sure ink would stain pretty much any handle though.
Not sure if he tried to remove it either though. A toothbrush and some kind of cleaner might have removed it.

You can grind junk into the FRN and it'll look stained, but it's not. Mine's still bright yellow under all the junk and gunk. :D

All these Salt threads made me order 2 yellow PE Salt I's the other day. :D

The handle won't really stain, but it'll look dirty quite rapidly. Black does the same, but being black, it doesn't show it nearly as much.

The nice thing about the yellow is it a color that is easily spotted in water, which is why that yellow is used.

i really like the yellow and will most likely pick up the Pacific in yellow when funds allow for it. i got some shitty news at work today and graduate school in may so i need to find me a jobbbb before the end of march but my bday is in march so will see.
