I have an old Native S30V from when they were $39 at Wal-Mart. Ton of miles on that knife and wouldn't trade it for anything out there. True, I carry a Endura FFG now, but I would go back to the Native in a heart beat. Perfect corrosion resistance and all the benefits of S30V steel, not to mention amazing ergonomics and light weight. One of the best EDC knives I have ever carried.

I am not much of a serrated edge fan(however now that I can get them sharpened by the manufacturer I am acquiring more)but at least for the ocean(for me)the serrated works much better on rope, seaweed etc than the plain edge. Just picked up a new Pacific Salt 2 serrated/Wharncliffe to break in next week at the beach. my son got my old one. Nice to have so many choices.

Go to the Spyderco forum and see the post from Vivi on sharpening serrated edges. His method is super easy and effective.

The Native just does not fit my hand very well. I like it OK but it’s not great. I do love the blade and the lock. But for fitting my hand the Delica and the salt 2 are perfect.
