salt pot parts?

That is a helluva setup Nick. And its good to know that a simple hand tapering of the rod will be sufficient. I can probably pick up some cheap stainless rod at work that will do it. I'm leaning more and more to building my own salt pot now. This thread has been a godsend. You lined the forge with kaowool and refractory coating the same as you would any forge?? Please, any pics you can get for me would be very helpful. The electronics I've got down.

Boy, it is so disconcerting thinking of you makers that have, or are on a path to mastery looking at my knives. Please, if you see anything I'm doing wrong, or dumb, or even if I'm just irritating you, let me know. I'm very open to criticism of my work, and my processes, and I consider this openness a necessity at my level of experience.

I would have to agree with andy,
i think i understand the electronic part now.. but what about exhaust venting? how much of an exhaust do you need? and where should the burner be placed in relation to the fore and to the exhaust?

thanks o much for all your help!
~chris
