We've recently added salt tubes to our site. These are 4" diameter schedule 40 (wall thickness = 0.237") 304L tubes. These represent a good tradeoff between longevity and cost for those wanting to get into using molten salts for heat treating. Currently we offer them in 24" and 40" lengths. These come in both a kit form as well as a welded version. The kit comes with the pipe and plate to weld onto the bottom (see site for details). The welded version comes fully welded and ready to add to your forge.

I'm also taking orders for PID controlled high temperature salt rigs. I'm only taking 6 orders for the first batch (2 slots already taken!) and these will be delivered for free at the Blade show or shipped at actual cost one week after the Blade show. Please see the site for details.

Finally we've added an option for custom forge sizes to our website as well as updated ordering on our forge page.

Also, for those interested, Darren will have Parks #50 quench oil soon. I've had lots of folks asking, so I thought I would add this here.

Park's #50 is the fastest quenck oil on the planet, so works very good for W1, W2, 1095.

Only one slot left! The price is going to $1200 after this first round...I've made some changes to my original design that has increased the cost, and added some more safety features. One more person can get in at the introductory price if you want. :)
