Salt water knife reccomendation

H2 has replaced H1 steel, but Sal Gkesser says that it should perform almost exactly the same. Used H1 are better deals, however.

I'd say go for LC200N and serrated because I'm partial to my Pacific Salt 2. Some people seem to have great experience with H1 serrated knives, but I couldn't tell you.

That has not been true in my use. My serrated H1 dull the same as plain edge. The serrated edge is much thinner BTE, so it cuts better for longer.

Great choice! Serrated for sure.

H1 is hard to find these days. On paper H2 should be functionally identical.

MagnaCut is way too expensive, and I just need to cut a shellfish or two, and similar things, I don't need crazy edge retention for my needs, and H1 has plenty of toughness, and I can get it sharp anywhere.

Plus, H1 is discontinued, so I wanna get it while I still can.
