Salt Water Machete?

I was just watching season 3, episode 12 of Spongebob Squarepants. In this episode, Spongebob, Patrick, and Squidward end up lost in the wilderness for days. When they are finally rescued, it is by a park ranger wielding a machete. Did anyone happen to catch what it was? It looked like some sort of barong, but maybe not...anyone else catch it?

for saltwater, you might look at condor brand machetes. made from 420, basically rust proof.

they come with leather sheaths though, which might be a problem near salt water...
