Actually I made the name up. This special Hurak is sort of a prototype that Sam had some fun with. I'm not sure if he plans to make many like this and credits Jason Knight for the inspiration of using a fullered blade. This is the result of my name being down on Joe Paranees Hurak project. It came at a time when Sam was going to make me an order so Sam did something different for the Hurak. So whether its considered a project piece or not (probably not), Joes project help move this along. My only input was to use Koa, and this piece has a ton of chantoyance. This is my third Hurak and there will be a fourth. This knife feels as good as it looks, if not better in the hand.

Is Chantoyance even a word? Spell check doesn't like it :)

Not the best pics but clear enough. Done on my cell phone with NO editing other then cropping. ..

Always loved the Hurak but with that fuller, OH MY! Inspirant au plus haut point mon ami.

Now I just have to get me one from Sam someday.

All 3 beautiful Huraks Jon. One looks familiar.
The fuller presents a little different look for the Hurak, but not sure I prefer it.

Kevin I like it on this knife, alot. But I understand your point of view. If I ordered another today I am not sure which blade I would prefer. They feel different as this one has a light long blade and my badlands hurak which I use has a heavier thicker and shorter blade.

In fact I do have another Hurak order for the future, but I don't think I will have a choice as Sam does not want to make any more fullers. I think he wants to leave it to the master, his bro Jason Knight. Sam wanted this to be a special Hurak in some way.

The fuller kicks things up a notch - love it! Terrific variation on a very solid design.

I really like the fuller :) it adds another dimension to this model.
Cheers Keith
